In case the smell of onion is not too strong for you, you can try out this excellent therapy on your scalp. Just take a couple of onions and blend them in the mixer. Apply the juice on your scalp and keep it on for 15 minutes. Onions contain several vitamins and minerals that help keep hair shiny & strong.
Aloe Vera Mask
Apply the extracts of aloe vera to some coconut oil and dab the mixture in your scalp using some cotton. Aloe vera strengthens the scalp, softens and nourishes hair, reduces dandruff and boosts hair growth. Keep the mask on for half an hour before washing it off

Soak a handful of methi seeds ( Indian word for fenugreek) and leave it overnight. Next day, grind it to a fine paste and apply it on your scalp. You can mix some coconut oil to the paste for better results. Leave the paste on for some half-hour before washing it off.
Green Tea Mask
Turns out green tea not only helps in weight loss and prevention of cancer, it ensures a headful of hair as well. Dip a couple of green tea bags in a cup of warm water and let the water cool down. Next, pour the water down your hair while gently massaging the roots.
Shampoo and Conditioner:
After applying any hair mask, you need to wash it off thoroughly with shampoo. Ensure to use gentle, medicated shampoos and massage your scalp well while rubbing the shampoo in.
Do keep in mind, that shampooing is essential not only after applying hair masks. But as a general rule, you should try to shampoo your hair at least 1-2 times a week as it helps get rid of dirt and keeps the scalp healthy. At the same time, it is important to understand, too much shampoo can ruin your hair as well and damage the roots.
